We do it for the next generation
Well some events bring people together for a good time, but Ummah Day in Norway!? It brings people together for a greater purpose. Organized by Minorg under the leadership of Qasim Ali (Leader of Minorg), this day isn’t just about gathering, it’s actually about giving, growing, and standing together in the face of challenges.
More Than Just a Meetup!
At the Islamic Cultural Centre (ICC), the atmosphere is electric, not just from the warm cups of tea and deep conversations, but from the shared mission that unites everyone in the room.
Raising awareness about Islamophobia, promoting understanding, and standing in solidarity with oppressed communities , and this is what Ummah Day is truly about.
Giving Where It Matters Most..!!
This isn’t just a feel-good event guys, it’s a force for change. The donations collected during Ummah Day go directly to Palestine and Lebanon, supporting those in desperate need.

EVERY penny, EVERY effort, EVERY prayer is a small but meaningful step toward easing the struggles of those facing unimaginable hardships.
Standing Up, Speaking Out
With Islamophobia on the rise globally, events like Ummah Day are more important than ever. It’s a space where people come together to educate, empower, and break down misconceptions. It’s about changing the narrativ, not through anger, but through knowledge, unity, and unwavering compassion.
A Tradition That Matters
Thanks to Qasim Ali’s vision, Ummah Day isn’t just an annual event. it’s a movement. It’s a day that reminds Muslims in Norway (and beyond) that they’re not alone, that their voices matter, and that their actions can make a real difference. Ummah Day has become more than an annual event, it’s a movement, a tradition, and most importantly, a beacon of hope
for the future.
A Voluntary Effort That Made a Difference
One of the most powerful moments of Ummah Day took place in Oslo, where volunteers set up food stalls filled with home-cooked meals, all prepared, sold, and contributed entirely on a voluntary basis. No one was paid. No one asked for recognition. Every effort, every dish, andevery sale was driven by pure compassion.
And the result??? A staggering 500,000 NOK (Five hundred thousand kroner) was raised, with every single penny going directly to support the people of Palestine and Lebanon.
This was NOT just a fundraising event, it was a testament to the strength of collective goodwill, a reminder that when an Ummah stands together, it can create REAL change.
More than a day, A Legacy for the Future!
I feel like the beauty of Ummah Day lies not just in what it accomplishes today but in the impact it will have on generations to come. By fostering a culture of compassion, activism, and solidarity, it ensures that the next generation carries forward the spirit of giving, justice, and unwavering support for those in need.
So, if you ever get the chance to be part of Ummah Day, don’t just attend but engage, give, and stand in solidarity. Because when an Ummah comes together, it’s not just powerful only, it’s U N S T O P A B L E!
